Context:
A single-family house for a couple in the Campo de Elche area. The project is born from the intention to reinterpret the traditional architecture of the region, recovering its compositional values and the passive strategies that have historically allowed adaptation to the Mediterranean climate.
Solution:
The house establishes a balanced relationship between interior and exterior through careful siting and orientation. Openings are sized according to lighting, view and sun-exposure needs, and protected by porches and eaves that favor thermal comfort. The materiality combines traditional elements with contemporary solutions, resulting in an austere, timeless architecture closely tied to its surroundings.
